Wallets- Finally Finished!

If you follow me on facebook, you will know that I have been working on a pretty large order of wallets.  24 to be exact.  They aren’t that hard to make, but when you multiply anything by 24- well, it takes a while. 🙂  Over  month to be exact.  Between our trip to the cabin, swimming lessons, and general 3rd trimester exhaustion, let’s just say I wasn’t at my prime. 😉  But, I am proud to say they are done, and I LOVE them.

Each wallet has Doodlebug Designs’s Tuxedo collection in laminate by Riley Blake on the outside.  The black and white color scheme provides a great background for the bright colors on the inside.  You get just a hint of the fun inside when you see these bright zippers on the back for the coin pouch.  The color coordinates with the main fabric on the inside.

And when you open up the wallet?  BAM!  COLOR!!  All of the interior fabrics are from various Doodlebug Design collections for Riley Blake, including their Christmas, Halloween and Tuxedo lines (some are not available anymore).  There is a pocket for cash and 8 slots for credit cards, drivers’ license and frequency cards.  The magnetic snap closure keeps everything snug when it’s in your purse.

And these are the 5 different laminates I used.  Aren’t they fun?  I love the black and white together- it’s just so classic.
I’m not sharing a tutorial at this point because I’m hoping to produce a pattern for sale once I figure out how to do that.  But, I will be making and selling these wallets for upcoming boutiques- I’m thinking some Laminated Chevron fabric perhaps?  Yes, yes I think so. 😉
For now though, we are on to baby projects.  Crib skirts, valances, clothes, quilts, car seat tent- you know, the good stuff. 🙂  All this (and a diaper bag, and overnight bag-maybe, and cosmetic bag) in the 3 weeks I have left before baby.  We’ll see how much actually gets done. 😉
Have a very happy Friday.  We actually had rain yesterday- a good soaking rain for most of the day.  Heaven sent blessings for our dry burning state.  Today there’s sunshine and a date with the splash park.
XOXO,
Amy

Love love love this little wallet. I cannot imagine how you got all that done, and a baby on the way. I'm 54 and it's makes me tired to think about it. I can't wait for your tutorial on this; I will definitely buy the pattern. Just adorable. Great job!

I love these. Classic with a splash of color. Good luck with these next 3 weeks. Time seems to crawls at the end of a pregnancy, right? You may just get all those things done.
