Need a quick treat to run over to a neighbor? Have kids whining- I mean asking for a treat? No worries, I have a super quick recipe for you.
Cake Cookies:1 cake mix
2 eggs
1/4 c shortening
1 T water
1/2 package chocolate (or other) chips
Mix all ingredients together- this dough is stiff! Stir in chips. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. Done!
There are so many varieties you can make. Double chocolate- choc. cake and choc. chips. Peanut butter chips with choc. cake, lemon cake with white choc. chips, choc. cake and white choc. chips. And with the holidays coming you can use mint chips for a little minty flavor! I just took some sprinkles and pressed them in the top before baking the cookies so they would have a little extra color.
Wrap them up and send them on their way!
And while we’re talking making cookies from cake mixes- I have one more quick recipe. Take a spice cake mix and a small can of pumpkin. Mix them together and add choc. chips. Ta-Da! Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies! Bake at 350 8-10 min. Delicious!
